EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SCHEME aPPLICATION

Edu Well Scheme Application Page

Education is a keystone of our society, almost every person will have gone through an education establishment during their early years and teen growth; some going on to higher levels after their teens to futher their knowledge, skills and undestanding.

Both educators and students are put under pressure during these years, to both deliver results and achieve results. Additionally there are a whole range of different challenges for both educators and students.

Keypoints for teachers fall into the following categories:

Keypoints for teachers fall into the following categories

1. Workload overwhelm: planning, marking, grades, secondary duties, meetings, lessons and similar.
2. Emotional stress: student behaviour, parental expectation, workplace dynamics & management, burnout, anxieties from juggling the workloads and pressure points.
3. Pressue points: dealing with deadlines, grade expectations, delivery of lessons on time and in-house targets; these impact on self confidence and esteem.
4. Lack of relaxation: week days are so busy with all of the above, evenings are taken up with secondary duties, markings or emotional baggage being taken home. Weekends can be similar, especially building up to exam times and other key moments in an academic year. This can lead to an inability to relax, fatigue, irritability and more.
5. Isolation: sometimes professional isolation, lack of time to develop collaboration and/or receive acknowledgement.

All of this leads to issues involving mental health, stress, anxiety and depression:

There is also another issue about the amount of hours a teacher/educational manager is working:

There are many other reports that show this affects retention rates, teaches feel that there is not adequeate support systems and this adds back to the workload.

Keypoints for students fall into the following categories

1. Academic stress: expecation on the students by themselves, teaching staff and family. This can cause pressure points at mocks, exams and other tests during term times.
2. Social pressures: away from a home environmment, social anxieties, peer pressure and anti-social behaviour from other pupils.
3. Emotional development: at the age range, emotional development is still a work in progress. The ability to handle pressues from above can lead to isolation, withdrawing from helpful situations and can lead unhelpful emotional outpourings.
4. Financial pressures: student loans, part time jobs, finding accommodation, materials for education; these can be pressure points that can impact upon mental health and exacerbate any worries or stresses.
5. Future planning: uncetaintly about the job market after university, realistic personal goals, ambitions v expectations and where the whole academic journey will take them.

Between the 2016/17 and 2022/23 academic years, the proportion of undergraduate students in the UK reporting mental health difficulties increased from 6% to 16%.

FAQ’s

We have a PDF document that goes over the statistics and research based on the challenges faced by both teachers, teaching managers and students. It is in our resource area on this site.

Yes, we can consider application. There are some additional points to consider, such as exchange rates, langugage, timing on live events and any cultural/local issues that need to be covered before a full consideration can be made.

If you sign up, you can sign up as an educator for a ‘fixed number of members’, once your account is up, you can give out access vouchers to your members and they can all sign up. You pay a fee, then they get free access. Everytime they log in they will go to a General Educational Reception area, from where they can go to a teachers room, a students room or a general exercises, getting started and other areas.

Or, you can decide to get a bespoke package. This is once you have signed up, they go to a section of the Education area that is branded your establishment. This gives 2 advantages:
1. It allows your branding and identity to be reinforced by those who use the service, and a feeling of esprit de corp.
2. It allows any unique challenges affecting mental health or wellness, from your establishment, to be put into this area. This is the first area all of the members will go to upon signing in, so they will be able to see what is going on.
3. We can work with events going on and provide some bespoke content to support your educators or students, based on no 2 above. So they can get a message saying new material is in to support ‘xyz’ at your establishement.
4. We can put a feedback form inside, we can then give feedback to you (anonymous) based on what is helping people, what they find the most useful, what other resources they would like or what is happening at your establishment that is causing them challenges.

You can use the form below to start your enquiry.

We can run this as a 3 month trial, this enables you to have access and test it to a limited audience. The set up cost is the same, however, the amount of members you want to pay for is reduced during a trial and test phase.

If you want to move from a standard to bespoke plan after the trial, there is an additional set up fee to create the area, bespoke training and ensuring all of your members have their data renewed to access the bespoke area.

No, there are no conditions, other than the standard T&C’s for membership (behavioural, legal etc). For our members, from time to time we ask them to do a social share of events, workshops or other activities. We also have a monthly donation drive to help support our charitable work. You will get these, but you are not obliged to do anything.

Other than those general terms that an organisation or user is required to follow; general ones about behaviour, decency and appropriate use of resources; there are two others for organistions with volunteers:

1. We will not accept all organisations, we have limitations on our capacity and number of places we can offer, so applications are not guarantees of acceptance or entrance.

2. We retain the right to refuse organisations who work in certain areas that we do not support as an organisation; any who deal with exploitation, illegal behviour, anti-social areas or activities that do not promote wellness and improvement of our environment, wildlife, resources, people and structures.

1. You send the form to us and we review it.
2. If we accept it we set up an application form that you fill in and it automates your membership and generates the entrance vouchers for your members, with a unique login page for them to use.
(Varies depending upon general educational membership or a bespoke package)
3. You pass this code and page to your members, as they login, you will see in your control area who has logged in and take up membership.
4. The first time you log in, you will go to your membership area with a getting started area; this teaches you how to use the site, how to use the training and insights for you to get started. You will also get a welcome email with follow up messages to help you settle down.
5. You and your members, each time you login will go to the education reception area, or your unique bespoke page (if you take up that package). You can bypass the welcome area and move onto the volunteers area or go into the Wellness Health Spa for individual treatment, training or courses.

Please use this form as a registration application – there is no obligation at this stage.

You will get an email notification confirming your form submission in the next minute, if nothing arrives use the contact form link on the next page.
